昔為陪隸，與臣從事，奮忠毅之操，躬史魚之節，董臣嚴綱，勗臣懦弱，得以免戾，實賴厥勳。 When he served under me, he displayed loyal resolve and the integrity of Shi Yu. He tightened my lax discipline, strengthened my weak resolve, and kept me from fault; I truly owe that to his merit.
