裕德八月丁卯遷。懷塔布理藩院尚書。十二月戊戌卒。辛丑世續理藩院尚書。十二月丙寅遷。阿克丹理藩院尚書。 On the dingmao day of the eighth month, Yude was transferred. Huaitabu: Minister of the Court of Colonial Affairs. On the wuxu day of the twelfth month, Huaitabu died. On the xinchou day, Shixu: Minister of the Court of Colonial Affairs. On the bingyin day of the twelfth month, Shixu was transferred. Akedan: Minister of the Court of Colonial Affairs.

世續，字伯軒，索勒豁金氏，隸內務府滿洲正黃旗。 Shi Xu, whose courtesy name was Boxuan, belonged to the Suoluhojin clan and was registered with the Internal Affairs Office in the Manchu Plain Yellow Banner.

世續商之倉場，飭旗丁自領，眾感實惠。 Shi Xu arranged with the granary that banner soldiers collect their grain in person, to everyone's real benefit.

德宗崩，議繼體，世續獨言國事艱危，宜立長君，不能用。 When Emperor Guangxu died and succession was debated, Shi Xu alone urged that in such peril an older ruler should be chosen; his advice was rejected.

及議遜位，世續首讚之。 When abdication was discussed, Shi Xu was the first to endorse it.

太后令磋商優待條件，授太保。 The empress dowager ordered negotiations on favorable terms for the abdication and appointed him Grand Guardian.

接修崇陵工程，加太傅。 He took charge of repairs to the Chongling Mausoleum and was promoted to Grand Tutor.

贈太師，諡文端。 He was posthumously made Grand Preceptor with the posthumous name Wenduan.

潤庠、世續諸人非濟變才，而鞠躬盡瘁，始終如一，亦為人所難者也。 Runxiang, Shi Xu, and the others were not men gifted for meeting change, yet they bent body and exhausted heart to the end alike—something difficult for anyone.
