子璹 His son: Shu

璹本名壽孫，世宗賜名，字仲實，一字子瑜。 Shu, born Shousun, received his name from Shizong. His style was Zhongshi, and he also went by Ziyu.

貞佑中，封胙國公。 During Zhenyou he was made Duke of Zuo.

正大初，進封密國公。 Early in Zhengda he was promoted to Duke of Mi.

璹奉朝請四十年，日以講誦吟詠為事，時時潛與士大夫唱酬，然不敢明白往來。 For forty years Shu lived on court summons, devoting his days to study, recitation, and poetry; he would quietly exchange verses with scholar-officials, but never dared to visit them openly.

初，宣宗南遷，諸王宗室顛沛奔走，璹乃盡載其家法書名畫，一帙不遺。 When Xuanzong moved the court south, the princes and imperial kin scattered in turmoil; Shu took along every scroll of his family's calligraphy and paintings without losing a single one.

天興初，璹已臥疾，論及時事，歎曰：「兵勢如此，不能支，止可以降。 At the opening of Tianxing, Shu was already bedridden. Discussing current affairs, he sighed and said: "With the military situation like this, we cannot hold out; we can only surrender.

是時，曹王出質，璹見哀宗於隆德殿。 At that time Prince Cao was sent out as a hostage; Shu had an audience with Emperor Aizong in Longde Hall.

上問：「叔父欲何言？」 The emperor asked: "What does Uncle wish to say?"

璹奏曰：「聞訛可欲出議和。 Shu reported: "I hear that Eke wishes to go out to negotiate peace.

上慰之曰：「南渡後，國家比承平時有何奉養，然叔父亦未嘗沾溉。 The emperor comforted him, saying: "After the move south, what support has the state had compared with times of peace? Yet Uncle too has never shared in its bounty.

無事則置之冷地，無所顧藉，緩急則置於不測，叔父盡忠固可，天下其謂朕何？ When there is no trouble you are left in the cold with nothing to rely on; in crisis you are placed in peril. Uncle's loyalty is certainly real, but what will the realm say of me?

叔父休矣。」 Uncle, say no more."

第五子守禧，字慶之，風神秀徹，璹特鍾愛，嘗曰：「平日所蓄書畫將以付斯子。」 His fifth son Shouxi, styled Qingzhi, was exceptionally refined in bearing; Shu doted on him and once said: "The books and paintings I have collected through the years will go to this boy."
