劉武周起，以為偏將，與宋金剛南侵，陷晉、澮二州。 When Liu Wuzhou rebelled, Jingde served him as a deputy general; marching south with Song Jingang, they seized Jin and Hui prefectures.

武德三年，太宗討武周於柏壁，武周令敬德與宋金剛來拒王師於介休。 In Wude year 3, when the Prince of Qin attacked Wuzhou at Baibi, Wuzhou sent Jingde and Song Jingang to block the imperial army at Jiexiu.

金剛戰敗，奔於突厥； Song Jingang was beaten and fled to the Turks;
