孫德昭，鹽州五原縣人，世為州校。 Sun Dezhao of Wuyuan in Yanzhou came from a line of prefectural officers.

德昭藉父蔭，累職為右神策軍都指揮使。 Dezhao inherited rank as Right Shence commander.

有以事喻德昭者， Someone persuaded Dezhao,
