周太祖時，與契丹通好，遣尚書左丞田敏使於契丹，遇瑩於幽州，瑩見敏悲不自勝。 During Taizu of Zhou's reign, when peace was made with the Khitan, Tian Min was sent as Left Vice Director of the Department of State Affairs on mission to Khitan. He encountered Ying at Youzhou, and Ying wept uncontrollably at the sight of him.
