詔斥含混取巧，命大學士托津等查訊，侍郎恩銘、常英、司員恩德等皆有賄囑情事，崶亦解任就質，坐失察司員得賄，嗣子知情，親屬撞騙，議奪職遣戍，因年老，從寬，命效力萬年吉地工程處。 The throne denounced this as evasive trickery and ordered Grand Secretary Tuojin to investigate. Vice Ministers Enming and Chang Ying and Secretary En De were all implicated in bribery. Feng was removed to give testimony, punished for failing to detect a secretary's bribes, his son's knowledge of them, and relatives' fraud, and recommended for dismissal and exile. Because of his age he was spared and sent to serve at the imperial mausoleum construction office.

十六年，偕尚書托津清查南河工帑，劾罷廳營四十八員，复偕尚書崇祿往福建讞獄。 In the sixteenth year he joined Minister Tuojin in auditing the southern canal works treasury and impeached forty-eight bureau officers; later he went with Minister Chonglu to Fujian to judge cases.

既而疏劾百齡、師誠受關道鹽員饋銀，又劾陳桂生弊混，命大學士托津、尚書景安往按，至則百齡、師誠嗾屬員多方沮格，所劾並不得實。 He then memorialized that Bai Ling and Shicheng had accepted silver from customs and salt officials and again accused Chen Guisheng of mixed abuses. Grand Secretary Tuojin and Minister Jing An were sent to investigate; on arrival Bai Ling and Shicheng had their subordinates obstruct the inquiry at every turn, and none of the charges held.
