天成中，鎮州節度使王建立表為本州馬步軍都指揮使，遙授舒州刺史、檢校司空，歷青州、魏府都指揮使，歷瀛、蔚、忻、代四州刺史。 During the Tiancheng period Wang Jianli, military governor of Zhen Prefecture, recommended him as commander of horse and foot for that prefecture. He was given the acting title of Minister of Works and prefect of Shu Prefecture in absentia, then served as commander at Qing Prefecture and the Wei command, and in turn as prefect of Ying, Wei, Xin, and Dai.
