桐梓匪楊鳳竄永寧，合黔西匪王三扎巴連陷數城，圍遵義，超馳至，敗賊南關，陣斬王三扎巴，立解城圍。 The Tongzi bandit Yang Feng fled to Yongning and joined the Qianxi rebel Wang Sanzhaba; together they took several towns and besieged Zunyi. Chao galloped to the scene, routed the rebels at the South Gate, killed Wang Sanzhaba in battle, and raised the siege at once.
