北京人王善甫，為京兆酒官，病小便不利，目睛凸出，腹脹如鼓，膝以上堅硬欲裂，飲食且不下，甘淡滲洩之藥皆不效。 Wang Shanpu of Beijing, a wine officer in the Jingzhao region, suffered from urinary retention. His eyes bulged, his abdomen swelled drum-tight, and the flesh above his knees hardened as if it might split. He could barely eat or drink, and every sweet, bland diuretic the other physicians tried failed.
