故人視其病，相持啜泣，索筆書唐王維所賦「百官何日再朝天」之句，明日遂卒，年五十三，與世勣同贈端明殿學士。 An old friend came to see him in his illness; they embraced and wept. He asked for a brush and wrote Wang Wei's line, "When will the hundred officials again bow at dawn court?" He died the next day at fifty-three; he and Shiji were both posthumously made academicians of the Duanming Hall.
