乾符初，王仙芝寇河南，安潛募人增陴繕械，不以力費仰朝廷。 At the start of the Qianfu era, when Wang Xianzhi raided Henan, An Qian raised troops, strengthened the walls, and repaired arms without asking the court to bear the cost.

自勉收南月城，斬賊二千級，仙芝夜解去。 Zimian recaptured Nanyue City and killed two thousand rebels; Xianzhi raised the siege overnight and withdrew.
