會召魏府王殷，欲以彥卿代鎮。 When Wang Yin of Wei prefecture was summoned, the court intended to have Yanqing replace him in his post.

俄遼人起兵，留殷控扼，故彥卿不入朝。 When the Liao soon raised troops, Yin was kept to hold the line, so Yanqing did not go to court.

殷得罪，即以彥卿為大名尹、天雄軍節度，進封衛王。 When Yin was punished, Yanqing was immediately made metropolitan prefect of Daming and military commissioner of Tianxiong, and was advanced to Prince of Wei.
