天會六年，斡離不既破真定，拘籍境內進士試安國寺，承亮名亦在籍中，匿而不出。 In the sixth year of Tianhui, after Wolibu captured Zhending, he registered local jinshi and held an examination at Anguo Temple; Chengliang's name was on the list, but he hid and refused to appear.

靖康元年，以給事中使斡離不軍，議割三鎮以和。 In Jingkang 1 he was sent as supervising secretary to Wolibu's camp to negotiate ceding the three prefectures in exchange for peace.

使還，傳道斡離不之意，以為黏罕得朝廷所與餘睹蠟書，堅雲中國不可信，欲敗和約。 On his return he reported Wolibu's message: Nianhan had obtained a wax-sealed letter from the court to Yelü Yudu and insisted that the Song could not be trusted, intending to break the peace treaty.

中外震駭，詔集百官議，雲固言：「康王舊與斡離不結歡，宜將命。」 Court and country were shaken. An edict summoned all officials to deliberate. Yun insisted, "The Prince of Kang once won Zonghan's favor and should carry the mission."
