帝覽之，嘆曰：「貞元時，陸贄、吳通玄兄弟善內廷文書，後無繼者，今朕得之。」 When the emperor read his composition, he sighed and said, "In the Zhenyuan era Lu Zan and Wu Tongxuan and his brother were masters of inner-court documents. After them there was no successor—until now, when I have found one in you."
