自孝昭、武成時，車駕還鄴，常令湝鎮晉陽，總幷省事，歷司徒、太尉、幷省錄尚書事。 In the reigns of Xiaozhao and Wucheng, whenever the emperor returned to Ye, Jie was usually left to garrison Jinyang and supervise Bing Province. He served successively as Minister over the Masses, Grand Commandant, and Recorder of Affairs of the Secretariat in Bing Province.
