The Miao broke and fled to Leigong Mountain, gathering sixty or seventy thousand men in stockades at Huangmaoling, Leikouping, Jiuyantang, and Yanzowo. Baotian led the armies into the mountains in summer heat, crushed Zhang Choumi, killed thirty thousand, burned their dwellings, and swept the region clean.
