邢人既至，承嗣發伏，擊其歸兵，大敗之，獲其將奚忠信，以功授洺州刺史。 When the Xing troops arrived, Chengsi sprang the ambush and struck their retreating column, routing them and capturing their general Xi Zhongxin. For his service he was appointed prefect of Mingzhou.
