元杲子賁，博學強記，以詞翰知名，薦授大名知縣，仕至周府紀善。 Yuangao's son Ben was broadly learned with a powerful memory and was renowned for his writing; on recommendation he was appointed magistrate of Daming and rose to secretary of the Zhou princely establishment.
