而婢漏言於楊國忠，國忠、鉷方睦，陰相語。 The maid also let word of this reach Yang Guozhong. Guozhong and Wang Hong were then on good terms and conferred in secret.

至聞國忠語，乃喜，且欲嘗帝以取驗。 When he heard what Guozhong had learned, he was delighted and decided to probe the emperor's mood for confirmation.
