董昌齡母楊氏。 Yang Shi, mother of Dong Changling.

少孤，受訓於母。 Orphaned young, he was instructed by his mother.

楊氏潛誡曰：「逆順之理，成敗可知，汝宜圖之。」 Yang secretly admonished him, "The logic of rebellion and loyalty—success and failure can be foreseen; you should plan accordingly."

楊氏復誡曰：「逆黨欺天，天所不福。 Yang admonished again, "Rebel bands defy Heaven; Heaven will not bless them.

汝當速降，無以前敗為慮，無以老母為念。 Surrender quickly; do not worry over past failures, and do not think of your old mother.

昌齡泣謝曰：「此皆老母之訓。」 Changling wept and thanked him, "This is all my old mother's instruction."

元濟囚楊氏，欲殺之，而止者數矣。 Yuanji imprisoned Yang and wished to kill her, but was stopped several times.

蔡平，楊氏幸無恙， When Cai was pacified, Yang fortunately remained unharmed.

元和十五年，陳許節度使李遜疏楊氏之強明節義以聞，乃封北平郡太君。 In the fifteenth year of Yuanhe, Military Governor Li Xun of Chenxu memorialized Lady Yang's wisdom and moral integrity; she was enfeoffed as Grand Mistress of Beiping Commandery.
