元叉之廢靈太后，虔時為千牛備身，與備身張車渠等謀殺叉。 When Yuan Cha deposed Empress Dowager Ling, Qian was a guard of the Thousand Oxen and plotted with fellow guard Zhang Chequ and others to kill Cha.

事發，叉殺車渠等，虔坐遠徙。 When the plot was exposed, Cha killed Chequ and the others. Qian was exiled to a distant post.
