是年冬，曾國籓調其軍赴湖北。
That winter Zeng Guofan transferred his army to Hubei.
尋疾甚，國籓為奏請開缺，留襄營務。
His illness soon grew severe; Guofan memorialized to leave his post vacant and kept him to assist with camp affairs.
