甲子，太原行營副招討使楊光遠殺招討使張敬達於晉安寨，以兵降契丹。 On jiazi Yang Guangyuan, deputy pacification commissioner of the Taiyuan expeditionary camp, killed pacification commissioner Zhang Jingda at Jin'an camp and surrendered his troops to the Khitan.

楊光遠謂敬達曰：「少時人馬俱盡，不如奮命血戰，十得三四，猶勝坐受其弊。」 Yang Guangyuan said to Jingda: "Before long men and horses will all be gone. Better to stake our lives in bloody battle. If three or four out of ten survive, that is still better than sitting here and suffering defeat."

敬達曰：「更少待之。」 Jingda said: "Wait a little longer."

一日，光遠伺敬達無備，遂殺之，與諸將同降契丹。 One day Guangyuan watched for a moment when Jingda was unprepared, then killed him and surrendered to the Khitan together with the other generals.
