同治元年，坐山東降賊張錫珠等擾畿南督剿不力，褫職，戍軍台。 In Tongzhi 1 he was dismissed for failing to suppress surrendered Shandong rebels Zhang Xizhu and others who raided south of the capital, and was sent to garrison duty.
