過黃草峽，守捉使王守仙伏兵五百，子琳前驅至，悉禽之，遂入夔州，殺別駕張忠，城守以請罪。 At Huangcao Gorge, Defense Commissioner Wang Shouxian lay in ambush with five hundred men. When Zilin's vanguard arrived, it captured them all; Zilin then entered Kuizhou, killed vice prefect Zhang Zhong, and held the city while asking pardon.
