琇少舉郡計，參鎮西鐘會軍事，從平蜀。 As a young man he was sent up on the commandery quota, served on the staff of Zhong Hui, General Who Garrisons the West, and took part in the conquest of Shu.

及會謀反，琇正言苦諫，還，賜爵關內侯。 When Zhong Hui rebelled, Yang Xiu spoke bluntly against it; afterward he was rewarded with the rank of Marquis Within the Passes.
