天祐八年正月丁亥,周德威、史建瑭帥三千騎致師於柏鄉,設伏於村塢間,遣三百騎直壓其營。
On dinghai in the first month of Tianyou 8, Dewei and Jiantang led three thousand horse to Baixiang, hid men in the hamlets, and sent three hundred to ride straight at the Liang camp.
梁將怒,悉其軍結陣而來,德威與之轉戰至高邑南,梁軍列陣,橫亙六七里。
The Liang commander came out in full array; Dewei sparred with him south of Gaoyi until the Liang line stretched six or seven li.
自巳及午,騎軍接戰,至晡,梁軍欲抽退,塵埃漲天,德威周麾而呼曰:「汴人走矣!」
