唐莊宗平梁，以例出為隨州司馬，會赦，量移許州。 When Tang Zhuangzong conquered Liang he was demoted under precedent to military adjutant of Suizhou. An amnesty followed and he was transferred in reduced rank to Xu Prefecture.
