先是遼東高廟、長陵高園殿災，仲舒居家推說其意，草稿未上，主父偃候仲舒，私見，嫉之，竊其書而奏焉。 Earlier, the Temple of Gaozu in Liaodong and the hall in Gaozu's funerary park at Changling caught fire. At home, Dong Zhongshu drafted an interpretation of the portent, but before he submitted it, Zhufu Yan called on him, saw the draft in private, and, out of jealousy, stole it and memorialized it to the throne.
