The Masters section comprises twelve types, beginning with Confucian and eclectic works. Earlier dynasty bibliographies included Legalist and related schools as well, but those holdings were negligible—counted only to complete the tally. They are now all grouped under the miscellaneous-schools category. Next come farming texts, fiction, military treatises, astronomy, calendrical studies, Five-Phase works, and the arts category, with medical books included at the end. Tenth are encyclopedias, eleventh Daoist writings, and twelfth Buddhist works.
