元帥阿術使淮招李庭芝，淮陽諾，至揚城下，乃大呼曰：“李庭芝，男子死耳，毋降也。” Marshal A Shu had Huai summon Li Tingzhi. Huai feigned agreement and, reaching Yang City, shouted: 'Li Tingzhi—a man should die rather than surrender!'

元帥怒，殺之，棄其屍江濱。 Enraged, the marshal killed him and cast his body on the riverbank.
