實安重誨矯詔殺之，不書重誨殺者，明宗知而不責，又下詔書誣圜以罪，故以明宗自殺書之。 In reality An Chonghui forged an edict and killed him. The text does not attribute the killing to Chonghui because Mingzong knew of it and did not punish him, and then issued an edict falsely charging Huan with crimes; it therefore records the killing as Mingzong’s own act.
