以安端主東丹國，封明王，察割為泰寧王，劉哥為惕隱，高勛為南院樞密使。 Anduan was set to rule the Dongdan state and enfeoffed as Prince of Ming; Chage was made Prince of Taining; Liu Ge was made tiyin; and Gao Xun was made Southern Palace Commissioner.

四年春二月辛未，泰寧王察割來朝，留侍。 In the fourth year, spring, second month, on xinwei day Prince of Taining Chage came to court and was kept in attendance at court.

群臣皆醉，察割反，帝遇弒，年三十四。 All the ministers were drunk; Chage rebelled, and the emperor was assassinated at the age of thirty-four.

察割不能答，強笑曰：「何戲之虐也！」 Chaguo could not answer and forced a laugh, saying, "Why such cruel jesting!"

天祿末，塔剌葛為北府宰相，及察割作亂，塔剌葛醉詈曰：「吾悔不殺此逆賊！」 At the end of the Tianlu era Talage was Northern Court chancellor; when Chaguo rebelled, Talage drunkenly cursed, saying, "I regret I did not kill this traitor!"

尋為察割所害。 Soon afterward Chaguo killed him.

察割作亂，敵祿聞之，入見壽安王，慷慨言曰：「願得精兵數百，破賊黨。」 When Chaguo rebelled, Dilu heard the news, went to see Prince Shou'an, and declared passionately, "Give me several hundred crack troops and I will smash the rebel band."

耶律察割耶律婁國耶律重元 Yelü Chaguo, Yelü Louguo, and Yelü Chongyuan

察割，字歐辛，明王安端之子。 Chaguo, whose style name was Ouxin, was the son of Prince Ming'an Anduan.

察割曰：「太弟忌刻，若果立，豈容我輩！ Chaguo said, "The Imperial Younger Brother is jealous and cruel; if he really becomes emperor, he will never spare us!

及和議成，以功封泰寧王。 When peace was concluded, he was enfeoffed as Prince of Taining for his service.

會安端為西南面大詳穩，察割佯為父惡，陰遣人白於帝，即召之。 When Anduan became Grand Commander of the Southwest, Chaguo pretended to denounce his father and secretly informed the emperor, who summoned him at once.

帝每出獵，察割托手疾，不操弓矢，但執煉錘馳走。 Whenever the emperor hunted, Chaguo claimed a hand ailment, carried no bow, and rode about gripping only a forged mace.

帝不信，以表示察割。 The emperor refused to believe it and showed the memorial to Chaguo.

察割稱屋質疾己，哽咽流涕。 Chaguo said Wuzhi bore him a grudge and broke into choking sobs.

察割時出怨言，屋質曰：「汝雖無是心，因我過疑汝，勿為非義可也。」 Chaguo sometimes muttered complaints; Wuzhi told him, "Even if you mean no harm, my suspicions have put you under a cloud—do not do anything improper."

他日屋質又請於帝，帝曰：「察割舍父事我，可保無他。」 Another day Wuzhi pleaded again; the emperor said, "Chaguo turned against his father to serve me—he can be trusted."

屋質曰：「察割於父既不孝，於君安能忠！」 Wuzhi replied, "A man unfilial to his father cannot be loyal to his lord!"

天祿五年七月，帝幸太液谷，留飲三日，察割謀亂不果。 In the seventh month of Tianlu 5, the emperor visited Taiye Valley and lingered there drinking for three days; Chaguo plotted a revolt but failed.

察割歸見壽安王，邀與語，王弗從。 Chaguo went to Prince Shou'an and asked to speak with him; the prince refused.

察割以謀告耶律盆都，盆都從之。 Chaguo revealed the plot to Yelü Pendu, who joined him.

察割曰：「壽安年幼，屋質不過引數奴，詰旦來朝，固不足憂。」 Chaguo said, "Shou'an is young, and Wuzhi commands only a handful of slaves—they will come to court at dawn; there is nothing to fear."

其黨矧斯報壽安、屋質以兵圍於外，察割尋遣人弒皇后於柩前，倉惶出陣。 His follower Shengsi reported that Shou'an and Wuzhi had surrounded them outside with troops; Chaguo then sent men to murder the empress before the coffin and hurried out to give battle in confusion.

察割知其不濟，乃系群官家屬，執弓矢脅曰：「無過殺此曹爾！」 Seeing that he could not prevail, Chaguo bound the officials' families, took up bow and arrow, and threatened, "I need only kill this crowd!"

察割曰：「誠如公言，誰當使者？」 Chaguo said, "If you are right, who shall go as envoy?"

敵獵請與罨撒葛同往說之，察割從其計。 Dilie offered to go with Yansage to negotiate; Chaguo agreed.

壽安王復令敵獵誘察割，臠殺之。 Prince Shou'an then had Dilie lure Chaguo out and had him hacked to pieces.

及察割作亂，穆宗與屋質從林牙敵獵計，誘而出之，婁國手刃察割。 When Chaguo rebelled, Muzong and Wuzhi adopted the linya Dili's stratagem to lure him out, and Louguo killed Chaguo with his own hand.

天祿五年，察割弒逆，牒蠟方醉，其妻扶入察割之幕，因從之。 In the fifth year of Tianlu, when Chagai murdered the emperor, Diepa was drunk; his wife helped him into Chagai's tent, and he went along.

及察割作亂，遣人報朗曰：「事成矣！」 When Chagai rebelled, he sent word to Lang: "It is done!"

既還，復預察割之亂，陵遲而死。 After his return he again took part in Chagai's rebellion and was executed by dismemberment.

察割謀亂，官僚多被囚系。 When Chagai plotted rebellion, many officials were thrown into prison.

察割度事不成，即詣囚所，持弓矢脅曰：「悉殺此曹！」 Seeing that he could not prevail, Chagai went to the prison, took up bow and arrow, and threatened, "Kill them all!"
