福家留重慶，弟奇官守備，妻子亦在賊中，賊以是劫福。 Fu's family had stayed behind at Chongqing; his brother Qi was a garrison commander, and his wife and children were in rebel hands. The rebels used them to pressure Fu.

十四年，擢陝西提督，進三等阿思哈尼哈番，又官奇參將。 In Kangxi 14 (1675) he was made Provincial Military Commissioner of Shaanxi and raised to third-rank Ashan-i Bannerman; his brother Qi was appointed deputy commander.
