趙淮妾，長沙人也，逸其姓名。 The concubine of Zhao Huai was from Changsha; her personal name is lost.

妾俘一軍校帳中，乃解衣中金遺其左右，且告之曰：“妾夙事趙運使，今其死不葬，妾誠不能忘情。 Held captive in a military officer's tent, she removed gold from her garments and gave it to his attendants, saying: 'I long served Commissioner Zhao; now that he lies unburied, I cannot forget him.'

妾聚薪焚淮骨置瓦缶中，自抱持，操小舟至急流，仰天慟哭，躍水而死。 She gathered firewood, burned Huai's bones, placed them in a jar, embraced it, poled a small boat to the rapids, wailed to heaven, and leaped into the water.
