其冬，涇師作亂，駕幸奉天。 That winter the Jing army mutinied and the emperor fled to Fengtian.

及聞輿駕再幸梁州，乃自投於床，搏膺呼天，因是危惙，絕食數日而卒，時年六十。 When he heard the emperor had again fled to Liangzhou, he threw himself on his bed, beat his breast, and cried to Heaven. He fell critically ill, fasted for several days, and died at sixty.

德宗還京，聞迺之忠烈，追贈禮部尚書。 When Dezong returned to the capital and heard of Nai's loyal martyrdom, he posthumously made him Minister of Rites.
