At Waihuang, the Zuo Tradition says, “In the last year of Duke Hui, he defeated the Song army at Huang”; Du Yu identifies Huang as a Song settlement and notes a Huang city east of the county. Waihuang also held Kuiqiu, where Duke Huan of Qi met the other rulers, and Quji ward within the city; the Zuo Tradition records, “Duke Zuo of Song died at Quji,” in Duke Zhao 25.
Jiyang had Wufu Township. The Zuo Tradition says, “They covenanted at Wufu,” in Duke Huan 12, and Du Yu places Wufu City northeast of the county. Rong City lay southeast of the county, and in Du Township there was a temporary palace where Guangwu was born.
Huangchi Pavilion was there. The Chenliu zhi says, “Huang Pavilion was in Fengqiu.” In Duke Ai 13 of the Zuo Tradition, the covenant at Huangchi took place; Du Yu places it south of Fengqiu county. The tradition says, “Wu imprisoned Zifu Jingbo and returned with him, reaching Huyou,” which means Huangchi was west of Huyou. Some identify it with the eastern ditch of Waihuang county, but that is wrong.
