十二月，宋遣段少連、杜仁贊來賀來歲正旦，楊偕、李守忠來賀永壽節。 In the twelfth month Song sent Duan Shaolian and Du Renzan to congratulate New Year's Day of the coming year, and Yang Xie and Li Shouzhong to congratulate the Eternal Longevity Festival.

監議御史段少連以為官帶近職，一時之選，宜有建明，不當反自高異。 Supervising Censor Duan Shaolian argued that holders of near-service posts were chosen for the moment and ought to offer constructive views rather than hold themselves aloof.

少連乙太常易名之細，考功覆議之常，誤謂群司普當會席，列為具奏，嬰以嚴科，遂使絕曹清列，還入本行，分局常員，略無異等。 Shaolian had treated minor matters—the Court of Imperial Sacrifices' changes of posthumous names and the Ministry of Personnel's routine review—as if every office should always attend, listed them in a full memorial, and sought severe punishment, forcing 'severed bureau' officials back into ordinary rows with little distinction among regular posts.
