春秋时曰祝其，夹谷地。左傳定十年會齊侯夾谷，孔子相。 In Spring and Autumn times the place was known as Zhuqi, the Jiagu site; the Zuo Tradition records a meeting there with the Marquis of Qi in Duke Ding 10, with Confucius acting as assistant.
