高宗擊邕、巖二州叛獠，詔監其軍，嶠入洞喻降之，由是罷兵。 When Emperor Gaozong campaigned against rebel tribes in Yong and Yan prefectures, Qiao was ordered to supervise the army; he entered their mountain strongholds to persuade surrender, and the campaign was then halted.
