恭帝時，繼業既殺兄代父領鎮，頗驕恣，時出兵劫略羌夷，羌夷不附，又撫士卒少恩，繼業慮其為變，以太祖居鎮日常得給事，乃豫徙其孥闕下。 Under Emperor Gong, Jiye had killed his brother to seize his father's command and grew arrogant, raiding Qiang and Yi tribes until they would not submit; he also showed little kindness to his troops and, fearing mutiny, moved their families to the capital beforehand, because when Taizu had been stationed in the circuit Jiye had often been able to serve him.
