自光武以來，諸王有制，惟得自娛於宮內，不得臨民，干與政事，其與交通，皆有重禁，遂以全安，各保福祚。 Since Guangwu, princes were confined to their palaces, barred from governing commoners or state affairs, and their contacts were strictly limited—so they lived out their lives in safety.
