其子季友從獵苑中,訴於穆宗,賜謚曰「思」。
His son Jiyou, while hunting in the imperial park, appealed to Emperor Muzong, who changed the posthumous name to Si, "Reflective."
李愬勛臣節將,陛下寵其勛勞,賜其爵祿、車服、第宅則可,若亂朝廷典法,將何以沮勸?
Li Su is a meritorious commander; Your Majesty may reward his service with rank, salary, carriages, robes, and estates—but if he is allowed to overturn court precedent, how will reward and warning retain any force?
伏請速追前詔,卻依太常謚為厲,使朝典無虧,國章不濫。
