世祖卽位，遷五兵尚書，領前軍將軍，仍出爲輔國將軍、吳郡太守，少時，大著風績。 When Emperor Wu took the throne, he was made Minister of the Five Armies and Forward General, then sent out as General Who Assists the State and Administrator of Wu Commandery; in a short time he won a great reputation for his governance.

世祖嘉其能，轉持節、都督郢州司州之義陽軍事、冠軍將軍、郢州刺史， Emperor Wu praised his ability and made him Bearer of the Staff, commander of military affairs in Ying Province and Yiyang in Sizhou, General Who Vanquishes the Foe, and Governor of Ying Province.
