世祖深加待遇。 Emperor Wu of Qi treated him with exceptional favor.

世祖問儉曰：「誰可繼卿者？」 The emperor asked Jian, "Who can succeed you?"

會王儉亡，上徵孝嗣爲五兵尚書。 When Wang Jian died, the emperor summoned Xiaosi to serve as Minister of the Five Arms.

其年，上敕儀曹令史陳淑、王景之、朱玄真、陳義民撰江左以來儀典，令諮受孝嗣。 That same year the emperor ordered the clerks of the Bureau of Rites—Chen Shu, Wang Jingzhi, Zhu Xuanzhen, and Chen Yimin—to compile ritual regulations since the establishment of the Eastern Jin, with instructions to consult Xiaosi.

從世祖幸方山。 He accompanied the emperor on a visit to Mount Fang.

上曰：「朕經始此山之南，復爲離宮之所。 The emperor said, "I began construction on the south side of this mountain and am again turning it into a detached palace.

上竟無所脩立。 The emperor in the end undertook no construction.
