父普兰奚，由宿卫为中书右司员外郎，与丞相哈剌哈孙建议迎立武宗，累迁至山北辽东道肃政廉访使。 His father Pulanxi rose from the imperial guard to outer section member of the right secretariat of the Central Secretariat; with Chancellor Halaqhasun he had urged the enthronement of Emperor Wuzong, and was eventually promoted to surveillance commissioner of the Shanbei Liaodong circuit.
