從憲宗征伐，多立戰功，及攻釣魚山而還，道由河南，招來流亡百餘戶，悉以入籍。 He followed Emperor Xianzong on campaign and won distinction again and again; returning from the siege of Diaoyu Mountain, he passed through Henan and brought in more than a hundred refugee households, registering every one.

撥綽驍勇善騎射，憲宗命將大軍，北征欽察有功，賜號拔都。 Bočuo was a daring rider and archer; Emperor Xianzong put him at the head of a great army, and on the northern campaign against the Qipchaq he won distinction and received the title Batu.
