會陳宣帝卒，覽欲乘釁遂滅之，監軍高熲以禮不伐喪而還。 When Emperor Xuan of Chen died, Lan wanted to exploit the moment and destroy Chen outright, but the supervising commander Gao Hui held that one must not campaign during a period of mourning and pulled the army back.
