附太平公主，主誅，玄宗欲捕斬藏用，顧未執政，意解，乃流新州。 He sided with Princess Taiping; when she was executed, Xuanzong wished to capture and execute Zangyong, but seeing he had not yet held power, relented and exiled him to Xin Prefecture.

及臨淄王平諸韋，家人請避之，巨源曰：「吾大臣，無容見難不赴。」 When the Prince of Linzi suppressed the Wei clan, his family urged him to flee. Juyuan said, "I am a great minister—I cannot flee from danger".
